The new nature of business

The Campus brings together SJ Group’s diverse capabilities on a single, site-responsive campus. Designed by Moshe Safdie, the building is embedded in the landscape and expresses Singapore’s Garden City ethos. Prioritising liveability and well-being, the campus includes accessible rooftop gardens, rain gardens and a 24/7 activated ground-level spine. A focus on mobility and inclusion is reflected in its EV-ready infrastructure, end-of-trip facilities and direct access to transit and park networks.

Designed to answer the ambitious brief of uniting diverse disciplines, to foster a culture of innovation and adapt to future needs. This was achieved by rethinking conventional workplace design, embedding flexibility at every level and grounding the architecture in both ecological sensitivity and organisational identity.

The campus is one of Singapore’s first large-scale non-residential projects to implement full Integrated Digital Delivery (IDD). Advanced construction and lifecycle management technologies – including BIM:FM, precast systems and predictive facilities management – were deployed to ensure seamless delivery and long-term operational performance. Certified Green Mark Super Low Energy, the campus features smart lighting, solar panels, and underfloor air distribution to meet high sustainability benchmarks.

The outcome

As both headquarters and testbed, the campus supports co-design, knowledge sharing and cross-sector experimentation. With flexible zones like VR labs and indoor-outdoor spaces, it reflects SJ’s commitment to regenerative, place-specific solutions that serve people, planet and progress.
